The potential to develop new natural swimming pools and convert old or redundant open air lidos for business and local authorities in the UK is considerable. BIOTOP™ has built 25 public pools and many more commercial pools for hotels and wellness facilities. Natural pools in central Europe are accepted as a healthier, more attractive, warmer, commercially viable and sustainable option to chemically treated swimming pools. Woodhouse Natural Pools is currently working on the first few commercially designed BIOTOP™ pools to be built in this country.

To optimise water cleaning pools are sized to the maximum number of daily swimmers. Over a certain size and capacity BIOTOP™ adds a separate plant filter pool and additional techniques to the system to achieve cleaning matched to greater use. All pools are tested by the operator to hygienic water quality standards that have been accepted as safe level for natural pool operation.
